From March 10 to 14, 2025, HIEC hosted a dynamic lineup of career-focused workshops, helping students from across Ontario explore their skills, interests, and future pathways. With six virtual and two in-person sessions, we connected with 168 students eager to take the next step in their career journeys.
The most popular workshop of the week, Values, Skills, and Interests, drew nearly 50 students in an engaging virtual session designed to help them reflect on their strengths and aspirations. Most attendees were in Grade 9, followed closely by students in Grades 10, 11, and 12, with a handful of younger students from Grades 7 and 8 joining in as well.
Our in-person workshops, held at the HIEC-Career Lab, provided hands-on career exploration opportunities for Grade 9 and 10 students, while our virtual sessions allowed participants from across the province to connect with career coaches and industry professionals. Through interactive activities, students gained valuable insights into various career paths, workplace environments, and the importance of adaptability in shaping their futures.
